I've fallen sadly behind

on the posting, that is. And maybe the quilting. But I did finish off at least the preschool class quilt. It was much adored by E's teachers, and since she "graduated" to a new class this month, I'm happy to have finished it in time for the end of the year.

That's my girl's handprint, in the middle at the top :)

Doll Quilt, Part II

This is the doll quilt I made for Susan, using some leftover blocks from Sophia's baby quilt (they've been hanging around for a long time now, since Sophia was 6 in December!). I had fun with the embroidery, but discovered that my machine really isn't meant to do much of it. However, I'm pleased that I finished the project, considering my track record on swap-like things.

Now I owe her one - it's almost done, and I'll put up pics once I mail it off to her.

stacked coins baby quilt

A friend that I've known since college just had her first child. Yay for baby boys! I sent her this quilt, made from the great stacked coins baby quilt tutorial at the moda bakeshop. The "coins" are from my fabric stash, and the background is kona cotton in snow.

I'm adding this one even though I made it months ago, since it's so dang cute :) I made this apron for Miss E just in time to bake Christmas cookies last year. Made based on the adorable Montessori Child's Apron pattern. Luckily, Miss E was very happy with it (almost 3 year olds can be picky).
